Nejla Yatkin, Outdancing Her Own Choreography By Pamela Squires in The Washington Post Some dancers have such a strong stage presence that they appear far taller than they are. Nejla Y. Yatkin is one of them. This Turkish-German modern dancer, whose NY2 Dance performed the second part of her "Existence" trilogy Sunday at Dance Place, was the most striking feature of the evening. She's long-waisted, with sturdy legs; broad, muscular feet; a Nefertiti profile; and eyes as black as her hair.
